| A native New Englander, Pamela grew up in Newton, Massachusetts. She completed her MBA at Babson and received her undergraduate degree at Wellesley College. She also earned a Masters degree in Musicology from the University of Hamburg in Germany. Fluent in five languages, she performed for many years as a mezzo-soprano, singing at many of Europe's finest opera houses and concert halls. |
She was a featured soloist with the Covent Garden Orchestra and was represented by Columbia Artists. She can be heard in the title role of Carmen on the Companions label and as "Helen" on EMI's recording, The Return of Helena. Most recently, she worked in corporate finance at W.R. Grace in Cambridge, Massachusetts. |

| Louis G. Burkot studied conducting at the Yale School of Music, the Aspen Music Festival, and the Houston Grand Opera, and served as Music Director of Opera New England, the education/outreach arm of the Boston Lyric Opera, for four seasons, where he conducted The Barber of Seville, The Magic Flute, and Hansel and Gretel at sites throughout New England and New York. He was appointed Artistic Director of Opera North in 1987, and has conducted more than 35 productions for the company. As Director of the Dartmouth College Glee Club and Senior Lecturer in the Dartmouth College Department of Music, he has supervised many senior fellowship projects in music. |
Several of his students have continued their music studies in voice and conducting after Dartmouth at the New England Conservatory of Music, Boston University, University of Cincinnati, and the Peabody Conservatory. In addition, he gives master classes in Vocal Repertoire to music schools and conservatories throughout the United States. He is the recipient of the Dartmouth’s Distinguished Lecturer Award in 2000. Richard Dyer of the Boston Globe has praised his conducting as “first-rate, capable and stylish,” and Opera News magazine notes his conducting “sparkles with verve and sensitivity to the needs of singers.” |

| Ron Luchsinger is an acclaimed operatic stage director and educator who has worked with opera companies throughout the United States. He began his association with Opera North in 1988, was named Director of Productions in 1997, and has directed more than 35 productions for the company. He has also directed for Connecticut Opera, Shreveport Opera, Anchorage Opera, Abilene Opera, Eugene Opera, Lyric Opera of Dallas, |
Simsbury Light Opera, Dartmouth College, and Gordon College in Wenham, MA. He has been Visiting Artistic Director at the University of Connecticut and has served on the faculties of the Mannes College of Music, New England Conservatory, the New York Opera/Drama Studio, the California Music Center, and the Hartt School. He is also Artistic Director of Commonwealth opera in Massachusetts |
