Join us on Zoom for Always ON Sunday, four lively programs to warm your winter afternoons, on Sundays February 13 through March 6 at 2 pm.

Invite your friends to watch and chat “live” -- or for a later viewing of the recorded session.

For this, our 40th anniversary, “Always ON Sunday” showcases the creative forces behind Opera North’s 2022 Summerfest season:

  • General Director Evans Haile
  • Artistic Director Louis Burkot
  • Stage Director Jennifer Williams (Così fan tutte)
  • Stage Director Andreas Hager (La Traviata)
  • 2022 Resident Artist Cloe SanAntonio

...plus a chocolate treat!

Choose whether to join each 60-75 minute Zoom program live and/or view the recorded program later. Each ticket, which lets your whole household participate, gives you both options. Purchase all four Always ON Sunday events for $100 and save $20 or purchase them separately.

Purchase tickets using your credit card on our secure PayPal site. If you'd prefer to pay by check, please email us here.

Love Songs: A Special Valentine's Concert

From his New York City apartment, Opera North General Director Evans Haile curates a special virtual concert of love songs. He is joined by some special musical guests—the casts of our Summerfest 2022 productions of Cosi fan tutte and La Traviata—to create this musical lovefest. Grab your “funny Valentine” and join us!

Tickets are $20
per Zoom link.

FEBRUARY 27, 2PM
Directors' Cut

Join Opera North Artistic Director Louis Burkot for a lively conservation with Così fan tutte director Jennifer Williams and La Traviata director Andreas Hager. Jennifer and Andreas, both former Resident Artists with Opera North, are making their mark on the opera world. Site-specific and immersive productions have been a recent hallmark of Jennifer Williams' work, making her particularly sought-after during the pandemic. Andreas Hager returns to Opera North this summer, after directing our highly acclaimed 2018 production of La Belle Hélène.

Tickets are $20
per Zoom link.

MARCH 6, 2PM
The Coach's
Corner

Mezzo soprano Cloe SanAntonio joins the Opera North company of Resident Artists this summer as Dorabella in Così fan tutte. Cloe joins Louis Burkot, Opera North Artistic Director and acclaimed vocal coach, and pianist Noriko Yasuda, to explore the lyrical lines, and lovely melodies of this impulsive and affectionate Mozart heroine. Don't miss this special Zoom edition of The Coach’s Corner!

Tickets are $20
per Zoom link.

MARCH 13, 2PM
Virtual Chocolate Tasting

Explore luxury chocolates from the renowned UK chocolatiers at the Hotel Chocolat. Connecting cocoa-growing (they grow their own cocoa on a beautiful cacao farm in Saint Lucia) with luxury chocolate making gives them an in-depth understanding of the factors that impact the final flavor of their chocolate, right from the growing tree.

Tickets: $60 per Zoom link; includes an array of 14 milk, white and dark classes, shipped directly to your door for this special AONS event.

Note: orders must be placed by March 1 to allow time for shipping.

Your ticket gets you a Zoom link that you can watch live or at your leisure.

Purchase tickets for all four events for $100.
