Always ON Sunday features the creative forces behind our 2021 Summerfest season. Join us on Zoom at 2pm on four successive Sundays for afternoons of conversation and music or watch later at your convenience. Each program runs 60-75 minutes. Gather your pandemic pod together and log on for the programs.

Who among us hasn’t wanted to run away with the circus? Mark Lonergan, Artistic Director of the acclaimed Big Apple Circus and a co-creator of Opera North’s signature opera/circus mash-ups, talks about life under the big top.

THE COACH'S CORNER
Soprano Arianna Rodriguez joins Opera North this summer as a Resident Artist as Musetta in La Bohème. Louis Burkot, Opera North Artistic Director and acclaimed vocal coach, explore the vocal and dramatic fireworks of Puccini’s most flamboyant of divas with Arianna in this special Zoom edition of the Coach’s Corner.

A MOVABLE, MUSICAL FEAST
Stage director Helena Binder offers background, insight, and images of her plans to bring a new production of Puccini's La Bohème to Blow Me Down Farm this summer. She will discuss her ideas about the score and libretto, along with her collaboration with scenic and costume designers, to create a new version of a classic opera.
