2025 Met Opera Trip

Join Opera North in March 2025 for our second annual trip to the Metropolitan Opera in New York City!

Opera North at the Metropolitan Opera weekend March 14-16 — led by Opera North Artistic Director Louis Burkot and General Director Evans Haile — features performances of Giuseppe Verdi’s Aida and Jake Heggie’s Moby-Dick.

Highlights of this exclusive Opera North at The Met weekend include:

• Pre-trip discussion on the operas of Giuseppe Verdi and Jake Heggie with Artistic Director Louis Burkot
• Welcome Reception at the Metropolitan Opera Grand Tier bar, hosted by General Director Evans Haile, Friday, March 14
• Performance 1: Grand Tier seats for Aida, Friday, March 14, 8pm
• Museum tour (optional) or Metropolitan Opera backstage tour (optional)
• Luncheon on Saturday, March 15
• Performance 2: Grand Tier seats for Moby Dick, Saturday, March 15, 8pm
• Shuttle transportation post-opera back to the Yale Club

Metropolitan Opera weekend costs (exclusive of housing, travel, and all other meals) are $650 per person and include a $250 contribution to Opera North.

Patrons will be responsible for their own housing and transportation to and from NYC. We are pleased to offer a special group rate for two nights of deluxe accommodations at the Yale Club of New York City. Located just a few steps from Grand Central Terminal, the Yale Club is a wonderful alternative to an impersonal hotel, with guest rooms that bring you comfort, warmth, and a home away from home.

Opera North's special group rate at the Yale Club is $319 + taxes per night for a standard queen room or $349 + taxes per night for a standard king room. You can see the room types here. Should you wish, the Yale Club has extended Opera North guests these rates for an additional night either Thursday, March 13, or Sunday, March 16.
