Verdi’s Rigoletto is a tragic story of jealousy lust, and revenge and features some of opera’s most beloved music. Offering both the grand and the intimate, this production, like last year’s Macbeth, will have you at the edge of your seat. Rigoletto, the antagonistic jester, is cursed after a joke goes too far in the court of the villainous Duke. Despite his best efforts to protect his beloved daughter, Rigoletto is unable to keep her safe from the outside world and the fulfillment of the curse. The program is performed in Italian with English supertitles.
Conductor: Louis Burkot
